It's been a long and winding road to get back to my artistic side.  As a child and into my 20's I was all about art ... creating it, seeing it, being part of it in some way in all facets of my life. Unfortunately, that all stopped when I starting working, managing bars and restaurants in Chicago and elsewhere and spent most of my time and all of my money drinking, flirting and partying away the next 30 years.

When I got sober on November 2nd 2016 (the day the Cubs won the world series), I started a temp job with a large outdoor outfitter that led to several promotions and eventually managing five departments. It took a worldwide pandemic give me the chance to start again. Structural changes to the company due to Coronavirus led to me being let go and I found myself with a world of possibilities in front of me.

I had been studying pottery and ceramics with Robin Gary at

Fireseed Clay Art Studios in Austin, but never had the opportunity to immerse myself into it. I decided to go for it, took my savings from the past four years, and started a home studio and began studying and practicing hard every chance I got. I fell in love with clay very early in this process ...  its endless possibilities, the chaos, the order, where they meet and mingle. There are so many lessons about life that you can find in something that is simple at heart!

I hope you truly enjoy the site and if you purchase something I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it!
